At Sekurit Service, we acknowledge that sustainability is more than just a word - it's a mindset, a behaviour and an everyday action. We have an ambitious sustainability roadmap towards 2050 which has already begun. Here's just some highlights:
- 100% of the electricity used in our Estonian factory is now sourced from green energy
- 56% of total electricity needed in our European Distribution Centre is generated by our wind turbine. The remaining energy is covered by a low carbon energy contract.
- We’re reducing the amount of packaging used, we’ve stopped using crates for the last mile transportation.
- To ensure windshields are well protected during this transport, we use a light plastic wrapping made from at least 50% recyclable materials (and recyclable)
- Together with our carrier, we’re exploring new solutions to reduce our transportation carbon footprint.
- One of our key ambition is to increase our multi-modal share.
- Our objective is to use at least 20% electric or hybrid vans for last miles delivery by 2025
- We manufacture 90% of our glazing products in Europe. So we’re producing quality products close by to also minimise the carbon emissions caused by transportation throughout our whole value chain
- Every single piece of waste generated in our plants is sorted and gets recycled when possible.
- We’re fully committed to creating a better and fairer world for everyone; putting the health and safety of our employees first, creating an inclusive and diverse work environment, keeping our employees engaged by amplifying their voices within the company (me@Saint-Gobain)
- In 2021, 31% of our executives were women and we have the objective to reach 35% in 2025.
